Seaside Breeze Hotel
This project was a concept design for a hypothetical hotel as part of "The Complete 2023 Web Development Bootcamp" course. The brief was to design: a main hero section with a title and tagline; a features section; and a contact section.
Purple Wyvern Jewels
This is an e-commerce website based on the Shopify platform. The brief was to make changes to the theme to fit the style and branding of the business.
My Skills
Programming & Markup Languages
My interest in coding started back when I did an A-Level Computing course. This was at a time when HTML and Mosaic (the first browser widely available to the public) were first released. Needless to say, my computing course didn't cover any web technologies!
After my A-Levels I went on to study a BEng(Hons) degree, however, I never lost my interest in coding.
Recently, I have rediscovered my passion for coding. I am currently updating and improving my programming knowledge and skills via personal self-study. I am now actively seeking a career change into software development.
I have knowledge and experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Design & Development
Coming from an engineering background, my approach to the design and development of a product is to focus on functionality. You can have a great-looking product, but if it doesn't meet the user's needs then the product is useless. That doesn't mean that a product can't look great too! But it's all about meeting the user's needs and giving them a great experience with the product.
Attention To Detail
A key skill when it comes to coding and being able to problem solve and spot errors is keen attention to detail - my superpower!
